PCR in your office. Answers before the patient is back in the car.
Ascent's managed molecular laboratory program brings syndromic PCR panels in house on the same agreement as UA360.
Send-out PCR means a 24- to 72-hour wait and a second phone call to adjust therapy. An in office PCR Analyzer returns organism and resistance results the same day, so the first prescription is the right one. Ascent equips, validates and staffs the molecular lab under your CLIA, the same way we run UA360.
Syndromic panels, one swab each.
| Panel | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Urinary tract infection | Organism identification plus antibiotic resistance markers for recurrent and complicated UTI |
| Respiratory | Flu A/B, COVID-19, RSV and common bacterial and viral respiratory pathogens |
| STI | Chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomonas and related sexually transmitted pathogens |
| Women's health | Vaginitis, STI and related pathogens from a single swab |
| Wound and nail | Bacterial and fungal pathogens for non-healing wounds and onychomycosis |
| Gastrointestinal | Bacterial, viral and parasitic causes of infectious diarrhea |
What's included
PCR Analyzer, extraction and amplification reagents, controls, LIS integration, technical supervision, CLIA support, validation and training. Same structure as UA360.
Land and expand
Most practices start with UA360 and add PCR once the lab is running. Adding molecular testing to an existing Ascent lab is an addendum, not a new contract, and the same supervisor covers both.
